明治末期の北海道と樺太を舞台に、アイヌの埋蔵金をめぐるサバイバル冒険物語。主人公は、日露戦争で「不死身の杉元」と呼ばれた元兵士の杉元佐一と、アイヌの少女アシリパ。彼らは、金塊の在処を示す刺青を彫られた脱獄囚たちを追いながら、第七師団や土方歳三一味などの敵と戦い、アイヌの文化や食べ物に触れながら絆を深めていく。漫画は2022年に完結し、テレビアニメや実写映画も制作されている。

The main characters are Saichi Sugimoto, an ex-soldier called "Immortal Sugimoto" during the Russo-Japanese War, and Asirpa, an Ainu girl. While chasing escaped prisoners with tattoos that indicate the location of gold bars, they fight against enemies such as the 7th Division and Toshizo Hijikata, and deepen their bonds while experiencing Ainu culture and food. The manga will be completed in 2022, and TV animation and live-action movies have also been produced.
